About the conference
Fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) has become a global pest causing serious damage on maize and other crops. It is native to Americas, invaded African continent in 2016. In India it was first reported in 2018 on maize in Shivamogga and Davanagere districts of Karnataka. Later, it spread rapidly across several countries in Asia and Oceania, causing great economic losses in maize and other crops. Maize is the third most important cereal crop in India, following rice and wheat. The area under maize in India is 11.24 million ha with a production of 37.67 million tonnes. Among the maize growing states of Inida, Karnataka stands first with an area of 1.91 million ha and production of 17.80 million tonnes. Keladi Shivappa Nayaka University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (KSNUAHS), Shivamogga worked on different aspects of fall armyworm since its invasion in 2018. The international conference on “Sustainable Management of Fall Armyworm” aims to provide a global platform for researchers to discuss challenges, share recent advancements and explore innovative ideas and strategies for the sustainable management of fall armyworm. The forum also aims to inspire young researchers to pursue innovative and sustainable solutions.

Invited/ Lead lectures
The organising committee will invite eminent experts/ scientists working on fall armyworm for delivering lead lectures. The invited lectures will be of 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes discussion.
Call for abstracts
Abstract (a maximum of 250 words, excluding the title, name(s), and affiliation-typed in MS word format in single space font size 12 Times New Roman) must be submitted through the designated
Google form/QR code/email : incofaw2025@uahs.edu.in. Abstract submission must be
accompanied by registration. Please contact the Conference Secretariat if you do not receive confirmation receipt within 10 days. The Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to edit or reject any abstracts, if necessary. Abstracts will be included in the proceedings only after the registration fee is received. Please underline the name of the presenting author and include their email ID in the submission.
Oral presentation
Original research contributions related to any of the theme areas listed above are invited for presentations in the conference. The organizing committee will invite oral presentation for 8 minutes followed by 2 minutes discussion.
Poster presentation
The poster (120 cm long x 90cm wide) with 2” margin from all sides should include a short title, the author 's name and address, a short introduction, brief material and methods, results and discussion containing tables and graphs with 2-3 references. The content should be typed in power points word with Times New Roman font of 12 size and single space. The presenting author name should be prominently highlighted.
Awards: Best oral and poster presentation awards will be given to the participants in each theme.

An official letter of invitation will be made available upon request. However, the invitation letter does not promise any financial support.
