Dr Anitha Raman K has MSc and PhD in Statistics from University of Madras, Chennai. She has extensive experience in biometrics working with IRRI, CIMMYT, and ICBA and with national partners on data management, data analysis, and capacity building.
Anitha leads the Data Management and Analytical Support cluster, a team with group of statisticians and data programmers. The team provides support to ICRISAT’s scientists through various stages of the life cycle of research data such as planning, generating, analysing, publishing, storing, and sharing. The central focus is on quality, successful and timely delivery of all data management and analytical tasks.
Anitha’s main interests are strategies for research data management for long-term availability of data for use and re-use, data integration, statistical procedures for cultivar testing in multi-environment trials, models for genotype-environmental interaction, spatial analysis of field trials, stability analysis of field trials and enviromics. In most of her analytical research, mixed model procedures constitute the modelling framework.
