Manoj Ahuja serves as the Secretary of Agriculture in India. With a distinguished career as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1990 cohort Mr Ahuja previously held the prominent position of Chairman at the Central Board of Secondary Education within the Ministry of Education, attaining the rank of Secretary to the Government of India.
Mr Ahuja holds a B.E. (Mechanical) degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, an MBA from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and a Master’s in Public Administration (International Development) from Harvard University, USA.
Recognized for his expertise and leadership, Mr Ahuja was appointed as an ex officio member of the ICRISAT Board on April 1, 2022. This appointment reflects his commitment to contributing to the strategic and visionary direction of the organization.
